Light spoilerIs the top in Inception still spinning at the end?
The film cuts to black while the top wobbles, so it never confirms the outcome. Christopher Nolan has said the point is that Cobb no longer checks. More on our Endings page.
No spoilerWhich version of a film do you explain?
We name the cut at the top of each section. Where versions differ, such as Blade Runner or Donnie Darko, we explain how the reading changes.
No spoilerAre director interviews the final answer?
They are strong evidence but not the only evidence. When a statement and the film itself differ, we present both.
Light spoilerWhy are some endings left open on purpose?
Ambiguity can keep a theme active after the film ends, as with Inception or Shutter Island. We explain what is fixed and what the film deliberately leaves to you.
No spoilerHow do spoiler levels work?
Choose a depth on the home page. Spoiler-free keeps all panels closed, light hints opens minor clues, and full reveals opens everything. The choice is stored only in your browser.
Major spoilerIs Mulholland Drive a dream?
The most widely accepted reading treats the first part as Diane Selwyn's dream. The film strongly supports it, but David Lynch never confirmed it. See Details.
Light spoilerIs Deckard a replicant?
Ridley Scott says yes and later cuts support it; Harrison Ford disagrees and the theatrical cut is more open. See Theories.
No spoilerCan I suggest a film?
Yes. Use the contact composer to describe the exact moment you got lost and send it by email.
No spoilerAre you affiliated with any studio?
